Photography

I'm not sure if you know...but I LOVE to take pictures! Especially of myself. :) Actually I'm sure AL of you knew that. But, here are a few pictures I've taken that aren't of myself. :) Enjoy.

When all the leaves are gone, is the tree still as beautiful? Is more beautiful in the spring, summer, fall, or winter? I believe the tree is just as beautiful in every season. I've heard people say, "I wish the leaves would hurry and get back on the trees, I'm tired of the gray and ugly." In the spring when the leaves are first coming on the trees, it's amazing to watch it grow and form into this beautiful tree full of life. In the summer the color is so bright and magnificent. In the fall, all the leaves are different colors. The colors brighten the ground, the sky, and lives. Have you ever noticed that leaves can make so many people happy? That might just be me, but to see all the colors that God has chosen to place on that tree, it's eye-opening. It makes me realize that all those leaves have a place in his heart, so why not have a place in ours too? Will you take a minute to think? Think of all the blind people that can't see those colors. While I was watching the movie Seven Pounds...there's a blind man. Will Smith says, "Do you even know what color the ocean is?" The man replies, "Blue, sir." You knew the man had never seen the ocean to tell him what color it was, sure he knew it was blue, but had he seen it? No, the man had never seen anything. So, think when you're raking all those unbearable leaves, the blind man couldn't see the rake you're holding or the beautiful colors of the leaves you're raking. Now, in the winter, it may not be as beautiful. But, think...in the spring the tree is full of life, right? Now, isn't it full of that same life in the winter? The leaves aren't there, but they're still keeping that tree alive. A tree absorbs all the nutrients right before the leaves fall off, to last through the winter. So the leaves are the things that keep it living during the winter as well as the rest of the year. So, don't look at a tree in the winter any different than the one in the spring, it's still as beautiful and as alive, just in a different way.

Stop...think...what has God done for you today?

When one door closes, another one opens...it's just up to you to pick the right one.

Look at this picture. This is a real picture...that I took. Look at this picture and tell me that God isn't amazing!

The Life of a Dancer.

Lyrical 2008:

Hip-Hop 2008:

I'm the dancer of the family. :) These are from last years dance recital. I am currently taking Hip-Hop...Lyrical...and Jazz. I connect to each type of dance in a different way. Hip-Hop is for my more "street" side. Lol. By street I mean I like to be feirce...agressive...mean...powerful...underestimated (I know that's a weird thing to say...but I do like to be underestimated, so, I can prove people wrong. "White girls" get this image of being stuck-up or proper or up-tight. I constantly hear people saying..."Oh white girls can't dance," "White girls can't pop," "White girls can't shake it," etc. So, I like to prove people wrong. I like to make people think twice about what they say. I like to be underestimated.). I also like hip-hop because it is the time that I get to "shake it" or "pop it." It's the time that I get to show the world I'm not going to let it win...I'm going to fight. I love Lyrical because it's the time that I get to be sad. There is only one person in this world who will get what I'm about to say and that's my dear friend Kyle...I sometimes like to be depressed. I don't like being depressed...so this is REALLY hard for me to explain. I like the feeling of sadness. When I'm sad is when my passion...my artistic nature...and my creation of dance appears. When I'm sad...I think the most...and I get the most accomplished. I'm not sure if that will make sense to anyone...but it does me. I also like lyrical because it's the time I can show my emotions and not be scared of what people might say or think. Words don't mean anything in the world of dance...it's the movements that explain everything. Lastly there's jazz. Jazz is the time that I get to be girly...the time I get to be "sexy." Jazz is a mainly sharp-movement dance. Jazz is also a time that I get to take out my frustration...my anger. I love jazz...just because. So as you can tell...dance is my life!
